All Age Bible Study
u The All Age Bible Study is a relatively new concept in
our country. (ITM has been promoting it since 1995). It refers to the
study of Scripture according to the specific needs of age groups.
However, it does not limit itself to Bible study, but it pursues the
transformation of people in light of the teachings of the Bible. This
is possible because God's Word is alive and it works to bring fruit
(see Isaiah 55,11).
u The purpose of All Age Bible Study is to communicate
God's Word so that any person can understand how it speaks to their
specific needs. That is why the age of the participants is one of the
criteria taken into account. The Bible study groups need to be
organized according to the age of the group members and their specific
needs. The teachers and group leaders are trained in light of the needs
of the age groups they serve.
u Our work of putting this philosophy (teaching) into
practice starts by elaborating a working and collaboration strategy
with the evangelical churches of Romania. The church is the framework
to this activity and by church we mean the believers who gather in the
name of Jesus Christ to worship, study the Scriptures, and be in
fellowship with one another.
u The evangelical churches have the resources and the
disposition needed to start and maintain this ministry.
u The resources are the church members with everything they
give to God's work as well as the presence of the Holy Spirit in their
midst.
u The disposition is the fact that nobody is (should be)
more motivated for God's work than the believers.
u Besides the edification of the church, the All Age Bible
Study that we develop in the churches of Romania (and other countries)
has the goal of winning the souls of lost people for Jesus Christ.
u The edification starts with the study of Scripture, the
systematic appropriation of biblical teachings, and especially the
application of these in every day life. Therefore, Bible study is not
limited to the study of Scripture, but the people are also evangelized
and discipled, they serve, have fellowship with one another, and
worship God within the framework of organized Bible study groups.
u One of the results of this work is the numerical growth
of the church through those who get to know and deepen the Word of God
in their lives, and trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. Another result
is the qualitative growth of the church through the practical teaching
of its members regarding how to live according to God's Word, share
Jesus Christ and manifest themselves as living members of the body of
Christ. Also, Christians can have the blessing of an abundant life in
Christ, getting to know His teachings better and following Him
according to the degree of knowing Him personally.
u This philosophy or biblical teaching (already tested in
practice) on what the church is all about is a more than enough
motivation for every church member to do their best for the flourishing
of All Age Bible Study.
u All Age Bible Study is more than a strategy of studying
the Bible; it is the biblical way of organizing the church.
